Before the outbreak: Eun Kyung was always a quiet child, never saying more than was needed in any given situation and she would rather be home reading or dancing instead of being around people. She didn't really have friends as she was considered an outcast, simply for being born in a different country. With her father being a doctor and her mother a nurse, they had traveled through the East Asian countries, helping those less fortunate. They had just happened to be in Japan when her Mother went into early labor. Eun Kyung didn't mind being considered an outsider though, it meant that she didn't have to speak to anyone she didn't need to. Once her parents had considered Eun Kyung to be old enough to sufficently watch herself, they began to travel once again, leaving her alone for months at a time. Because of this, she really had no strong bong with either of her parents though she had learned a thing or two about medicine from them.
During the outbreak: When the outbreak swept through Seoul, Eun Kyung was alone, her parents were in China and were unreachable. She had made the desicion to stay in her house at first, praying to whatever God existed that she wouldn't catch this virus. But on the 3rd night, she was forced to flee when hoardes of walkers had gathered at her house and forced themselves inside. After surviving through the night she had begun to wander the streets, eventually making it into the heart of Seoul where she remained, looking for other survivors during the day and staying hidden from the dead at night. She had begun to long for the voices of others, something she would have cringed at before. Though Eun Kyung's demeanor hadn't changed, her wish to be near people had.
Additional Information: Eun Kyung seems heartless because of the emotionless face she always wears but it's just a mask. She is fiercely loyal and protective to those who gain her trust even if she would never speak such things out loud. She has basic knowledge of medicine and is therefore able to take care of sprains and gashes a lot easier than most. She stays level headed and calm in most situations
